Just heard that my favourite comic book character, John Constantine from "Hellblazer" is gonna  be the next one to have a movie on its own. poblems are that the director is a debutant from the advertising industry, that the plot  has been turned into a regular psycho-thriller and that Keanu Reeves (!) will be playing Constantine, who looks more like Michael Rooker on a bad day.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

didn't the studios learn their lesson with "The Watcher"? Keanu can't play a psycho killer, c'est que se. He's too damn.....grinny!

Yeah, we've bemoaned this up and down on the B-movie mailing list.  The producers said they wanted Reeves because of his wide-eyed, innocent, child-like take on life.  Gee, that sounds just like sawed-off little seen-everything Cockney John Constantine, doesn't it?

As far as I'm concerned, if they've GOT to have an American actor, there's only one who could pull it off: Denis Leary.

I'm more psyched that Constantine's sidekick is gonna be played by Shia LaBeouf.  Now that instantly makes it a must-see for me.
