TCM...?  Am I losing my mind...???  Premieres?  Since the new year, I've noticed twice ROBERT OSBOURNE introducing a film (both times he mentioned the month and day of the week) that he described as a "TCM premiere".  BEN MANKIEWICZ I saw do it once.  The last film was HEAVEN KNOWS, MR. ALLISON, a film I'd seen before, at least twice... but not on TCM...?  Earlier, it had been DEMETRIUS AND THE GLADIATORS, another film I like and remembered, but it was described as a "premiere..."?  Huh?  I didn't see that like twice on TCM...?  Maybe it was AMC...?  I stopped watching AMC a long time ago (and only recently starting watching a bit...)  I must be losing my mind.

I just got cable a couple weeks ago, and the word "Premier" already has me confused.

I'm  pretty sure Heaven knows M. Allison is a regular on the Fox movie channel

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

I'm still reeling from some of the 'classic' movies I've seen on AMC.  I miss the days when they pretty much stopped at around release dates of 1960 or so.

All these channels deteriorate over time.  Fox was cool and edgy at first.  Now, it's just another network.  UPN and other 'indies' showed movies.  Not so much now.  AMC was awesome as late as the mid-1990's.  Now what is it.

Where's that thread about 'changes?'

I quit watching AMC when they started having commercials during the movies . They still  show movies, but they are best known  for their original series now.

No guys, the hell with AMC... they've sucked for a long time as far as "movies" go, though I have looked at a bit of their new series.  But TCM, announcing movies I'm sure I'd looked at there as "premieres"?  TCM Premiere... really???

Well...as far as TCM premieres...I dunno...I JUST got cable-and I would get my net hooked up if the flood hadn't fried my 'puter-now if I go on line-its at Tina's (me goilfreind.) I dont watch AMC unless its to watch the show Comic Book Men. I really like TCM-I watched The AWFUL DOCTOR ORLOFF (uncut! with the tittie shots!),the SADIST,WILD GUITAR,THEY DRIVE BY NIGHT,A DAY AT THE RACES-and I just got cable last week! I like RETRO chanel too-I saw THE GAUNTLET,SISTERS,THE BIRDS,PSYCHO,VIDEODROME,DR.NO,and old cowboy movies!

For any fans out there, it looks like in April the Underground's moving to Saturday night.
It doesn't matter to me, I'm happy it's still on the air.

I remember that one. Vic Morrow was looking pretty rough in that one, a far cry from Sgt. Chip Saunders in Combat!. Combat was always a favorite show with me. DMCL was a good movie though. Kind of predicatable ending though.
