Isn't that why these people have handlers?  Shouldn't someone have been there to say "What are you going to write?" and after he told his person they should have said "Leave out the last sentence."

Yeah, for the most part I find him pretty easy to ignore, but he is clearly not a bright boy and needs somebody in his life who'll tell him "No" once in a while.
