A lot of people will give the nod to Plan 9 From Outer Space, but Ed`s other film "Night of the Ghouls" is even more hilarious.  Ghouls has an idiotic fake occultists story, Kelton the cop from Plan 9 and..................The White Ghost! He He He.....BOO!  But even these films should not qualify as the worst movies ever made because they have redeeming value; they are hilariously funny.  No, the worst movies deemed to have ever been made are those that have absolutely no redeeming value, movies so bad they have nothing, not even comedic value. In my opinion, it`s a toss up between "The Creeping Terror" and "The Beast of Yucca Flats".

The Burgomaster

I find it hard to categorize movies like PLAN 9, BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS, ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES, etc., as being "the worst ever made." They are very funny and have stood the test of time and multiple viewings. Therefore, they are entertaining.

As I have said a few times in this forum, my nominee for the worst movie of all time is CURSE OF THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN. It is just BAD, BAD, BAD in every conceivable way. It is not funny or amusing, and after you watch it once (if you can even stay awake through it), you will probably NEVER want to see it again. It is dull, crummy, awful, BAD, BAD, BAD . . . a complete waste of time and effort. I urge everyone to watch about 5 minutes of it to see what I mean. I sat through the entire movie and I wouldn't expect any other human being to even try to do this.

When I am on my death bed, I will be BEGGING the lord to give me back the 80 to 90 minutes of my life that I wasted watching this movie.

I actually find some of the movies people have mentioned in this thread to be ENTERTAINING. My vote would go to TROLL 2.....I shut my DVD off only 47 minutes into the film. Hated it so much I couldn't even finish it. Dreadful waste of celluloid!

As a big fan of EARLY Mel Brooks, I am sorry to say that Robin Hood - Men In Tights has to be the lamest, unfunniest, most boring attempt at a comedy I've ever seen.  Have yet to ever get past the 1/2 hour mark.

Flangepart

If it doth not entertain, and doth reek, and  yea, it doth lead one to sleep, then verily, it must be cast into the lake of fire, reserved for all such horrors.

As far as Mel Brooks goes, I'd like to cast my vote for "History of the World Part One" as one of the most unwatchable, boring, unfunny movies evar.  I'd rather watch "Men in Tights" any day.

the absolute worst film ever? theres  a hole with no bottom. heres my list...

werewolf
manos
resident evil
payback
beast of yucca flats( anything coleman francis)
the day the earth froze
the violent years
the viking women vs the sea serpent
invasion of the neptune men
Ecks Vs Sever
mortal kombat annhiliation
soldier
leonard part 6( was amusing, but I couldnt get into it)

save the world, kill a politician or two.

Evil Matt

Simply Irresistable.

Sarah Michelle Gellar played a cook with a magic crab (I think it was a magic crab.  It rode around in her purse and managed to put on a top hat at one point) who makes people love her with her amazing cooking.  I've seen a lot of stupid movies, and I've seen a lot that have insulted my intelligence, but none of them has ever really made me angry enough to want to harm the person responsible for making them.  "Simply Irresistable" crossed that line.

Everything's funnier with monkeys.

If God is watching us, the least we can do is be
entertaining.

Some true bad ones here. (Werewolf is way bad) However, I really like Soldier

My short list of bad bad films includes.
Legends of the roller blade 7.
Invincible Barbarian
Nemsis 4  (2 and 3 are bad but not even in the same class of bad)
and Mac and Me.

I like almost everything else. (I actually like several Albert  Pyun movies)

Captain Ludd

Like everyone here I guess I watched vidoes non-stop as a child. And I always watched them to the end no matter how bad they were...if I started it I might as well finish it...just so I could know. Supergirl was the very first movie I ever started and turned off. I just couldn't sit through it. And I've never forgiven the movie for breaking my streak.
Stupid movie.

Scott

Battlefield Earth (in a bad as in boring way)

Blair

The worst...

Blood Spell
Bleed
Boarding House
Escape from El Diablo

JohnL

>Boarding House

Someone else who's suffered through Boarding House!

G-man

I posted the exact same question....And in my opinion......Gumbo....Worst movie ever made...AND should never have made.... It's to painful to go into again... I can't even think about scenes from this movie or I start having seizures....
I don't mind a good skull F**K now and then, but it should at least feel good.
Movie that have a Pythonesk quality about them are usually good for that.....
Movies that don't take themselves seriously.....
Gumbo was nothing more than a expensive home movie, it had NO redeeming quality at all, and I've only watched it ONCE (so I'll never have to again)....
