I thought this could be an interesting thread. Bands you wish you saw live, have/are currently split up or members have died.

First on my list is The Cramps

I had my chance to see them at their last London show, but sold out and the touts were charging a small fortune. It still gets to me now.

Oddly, not my favorite group of all time, the Beatles. The crowd screamed so loudly you could never hear them. If I could have sat in a corner of the studio during a recording session,however....
Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

Umaril Has Returned

A band from the LA scene in the 80's that should have been WAY bigger that they were.  The one, the only, Armored Saint with "Can You Deliver"?

I wish I saw Miles Davis play before he died, even though he was a shadow of himself at the end.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

And his death was handled quite secretly.  He may have died of AIDS.

I wish I had seen THE BEATLES, THE ROLLING STONES, BLUE CHEER... but I'm too young for them, though THE STONES aren't yet ruled out.
I wish I had seen NEIL YOUNG, FRANK SINATRA, SARAH VAUGHAN, JUNE CHRISTY, but I wasn't into them enough at the time they were still performing (except NEIL YOUNG which no one I knew was interested in seeing, though he is not yet ruled out either...)
I wish I'd seen RAMONES, THE CRAMPS, PINK FLOYD, LED ZEPPELIN...

I've seen lots of bands, but there's always more I'm ready to see or would have liked to have.

Seconding Umaril's Armored Saint pick. GREAT band.

I've been fortunate enough to see most of my favorite bands at least once over the years. The one hold out I can think of off the top of my head is Helloween, who until fairly recently rarely toured the US, and even now only make occasional jumps across the ocean.

I also regret never getting to see the late, great Ronnie James Dio live in any of his bands (i.e. Rainbow, Black Sabbath, DIO, Heaven and Hell)... four or five years ago my brother and his friends were going to see the "Metal Masters" tour (Judas Priest and Heaven and Hell together) and asked if I wanted "in," but at the time I was too broke so I had to pass, saying "I'll catch 'em next time they come around"... and of course, there was no next time. I'll be kickin' myself for that one for the rest of my life.

L7 is another. I wish they would get together again.
