Well, I'm not going to be renting films for 1 month, but will be viewing stuff on TV to continue my movie marathon. There seems to be enough this month on TV. When I start renting film in November here is my short list of films to see.

400 Blows
Diabolique
Hard as They Come
Purgatory
Yojimbo

Still looking out for (good deals if possible) for these films:

El Topo
Coffin Joe
Holy Mountain
Wrestling Women vs The Aztec Mummy
Dungeon of Harrow (almost picked it up for $5.99, but it was gone when I returned)
The Living Head
Braniac
Curse of the Doll People
El Vampiro
The Ape Man (just missed this one as they took it off the shelve of Boscov's)

My local Best Buy had the first two Coffin Joe flicks from Fantoma, lots of good extras with the one I bought. Trailers for all three films, a featurette interview with the man himself, and a reproduction of a Coffin Joe comic book.

Cullen

Yojimbo kicks butt all over the place.  Especially Toshirô Mifune.  That guy beats Eastwood (who appeared in the "remake" Fist Full of Dollars).  And I like Easwood (and Fist)

Damn good film.

Cullen - Super Genius, Novelist, and all in all Great Guy.

A lot of the Mexican horror flicks you mention are often availalbe at dirt cheap prices on EBay....I picked up the BRAINIAC and DOLL PEOPLE for maybe six or seven dollars apiece.

The Burgomaster

I highly recommend DIABOLIQUE (the original). I picked up the DVD a couple of years ago, along with M, which is also a classic.

As for Coffin Joe, I have AT MIDNIGHT I'LL TAKE YOUR SOUL and THIS NIGHT I'LL POSSESS YOUR CORPSE on DVD. They are both "must see" movies, but not nearly as gory as you might expect. They are more creepy than gory. Coffin Joe is a creepy guy.

The movies were made in Brazil and the dialogue is in Portuguese, which is fun for me because my wife is from Brazil and I can understand much of the dialogue, even without reading any subtitles.

I HIGHLY recommend that you get your hands on a copy of THE WAGES OF FEAR starring Yves Montand. It is about a bunch of guys in South America driving trucks full of nitroglycerine through the jungle. The suspense is riveting. The movie SORCERER, starring Roy Scheider, is a remake and is also very good.

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

Hey, is the Wrestling Women vs. the Aztec Mummy any relation to the Robot vs. the Aztec Mummy?

Is that a gangbang porno?

Hehe...just kidding!
