On Blu ray baby   Includes both the B&W and colorized version;  I'd hate to destroy Ed's artistic vision by watching the color version but...ah screw it I will  :teddyr:

     CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1957)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ghAZAs3Qgs

Hammer's first major horror foray, first pairing of Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee; I bought this online from Barnes and Noble, in a Double Feature set with TASTE THE BLOOD OF DRACULA. With shipping, $5.

     Still fun to watch.

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

Many years ago I recorded this from TV onto a VHS tape, and years after that transferred it to a DVD+RW.  Tried watching it last night and...let's just say the voluptuous Valerie Leon deserves far better  :teddyr:

Dracula Prince of Darkness

They're just starting to release the Hammer Horror movies on Blu ray;  they come out with them first in the UK and I believe this is the first one available in the US.  They've got several others scheduled for release later this year like The Plague of the Zombies, Quatermass and the Pit, and a few more.  And a bunch more next year.

These are going to be tough times for my wallet  :bouncegiggle:

I'll be sitting on his lap down at the mall to be sure  :teddyr:

Ordered this:

Always been meaning to see it.  Okay mostly because of the cool title lol.

Looks incredibly cheesy, I'm hoping it will be fun.

Russian slasher.  The reviewers pretty much all say it sucks, but well...the trailer looks good  :teddyr:

Filmed in South Africa and I have never seen it: looking forward to that.  :teddyr:

It's got two versions of the film - one is digitally cleaned up (the reviewers complain that it doesn't look natural) and a second that's not altered, which they say is the definitive version out of what's currently available.  This isn't really a huge favorite of mine due to all the sappy melodrama but it's such a classic and has some truly great scenes.  I figured it was worth fifteen bucks

The 4:3 transfer of "Jailbait Babysitter" was utter CRAP! 1,000 Times worse than the VHS transfer I made! I was p**sed because this movie is chock full of laughs and its John Goodman in his first acting gig like you've never seen him before!  The transfer of "Supervan", while better and at least 16:9 was still a bit messy yet WAY sharper than the VHS copies I've run into. I've seen some interesting titles from "Exploitation Cinema" but this experience has left me to believe that I need to be more cautious.
