My friend Amber M. Thomas has a 15 year old daughter named Mearrett who has gone missing.  She has been out since last Saturday (9 days now) with no word, no hits on her social media, and none of her friends know where she is.  Her parents are worried sick.  They live in South Texas, near the town of Leakey, but Mearrett may have run off to a larger city. Please, everyone, keep an eye out for this child!  She may think she's immortal at 15, but the world eats young girls like her every day.  I just want to see her home safe . . . her folks are worried sick about her!!  Here is a link to a poster:

Sad. I really hope she turns up okay. Must be agony for her parents.

That's awful, indy! Good thoughts their way. Please keep us updated.

As a mother myself this tears me up. I will be praying for her safe return and keeping eyes open.
Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

     Ditto.
If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

This is so terrying and stressful for the family and friends.

They are in my thoughts.

I trust that her folks will get a great Christmas present: their daughter home safe.

Nothing is more terrifying for a parent than hearing about their own child going missing. Hope she returns safe and sound.

11 days now.  No word, no online activity, nada.  Her mom is horribly upset.

They've created a FB page to keep track of the search, and are trying to get together some money to offer a reward and maybe hire a private detective.
I know these folks, and it is NOT a scam. Amber is worried sick.

My thoughts got with them, and you as you know them yourself.

It really is too bad that they don't issue Amber Alerts for all missing children, not just the abducted ones. The thought of my child going missing for any reason would kill me. I hope everything works out for the kid and her family.

I hope the parents watch out for scam artists who prey on the vulnerable in such times of worry. Fake detectives, psychics, supposed witnesses who just want attention. It all adds a burden to an already difficult time.

There has been a little of that, but not too much.  Amber is holding up as well as can be expected.  She has three sons, all younger than Mearrett, and is trying hard to hold some semblance of normalcy for them.

GREAT NEWS!! Mearrett was found safe and sound this evening, after being gone 15 days.  No details yet.
