Body Stealing Family?

I saw a movie on VHS a long time ago featuring a life extending family using brain transplants to prolong themselves. Any help with this titles name would be greatly appreciated.

From what I can remember the Father was the actual surgeon who did the transplants. The victim of the transplant had to be scared almost to death to get enough adrenaline in their system for the transplant to work. And at the end the Mother was in a partially successful transplant, pregnant waiting til after giving birth to get a new body.

I think it was on VHS in the late 80's but I could be off on the time here.

The only thing I can think of is "Fear Chamber" with Boris Karloff, but they're abducting women and scaring them in order for some living rock to feed off the energy.  There's no brain transplants or anything like that.  And it's from 1968, not the '80s.

Thanks for the taking the time to respond, but this was definitely not a Karloff era movie I am looking for. It was at least from the 70's at a minimum.
