Movie characters that you most wanted to be like

Okay, I freely admit that this is not a new and novel idea from me. There's probably another thread on it already somewhere in the Badmovies.org archives. In fact, I ripped off the idea from here: http://whatculture.com/film/12-iconic-movie-characters-arent-cool-remember.php

However, I still thought this would be a fun topic. Plus, it might mirror a lot of our personalities that we see here.

In the past, I imagined myself as Vincent Vega from Pulp Fiction (1993):

Oh yeah, that's me on the dance floor at the club. Or standing at the bar telling you that "you ain't my friend, palooka. Oh I think you heard me just fine, punchy!" Heck, even at a job interview, I'd be giving the hiring manager that thousand yard, heroin-induced cold stare (I don't do heroin, by the way). Or I'd be swaggering on the beach in my dorky-looking t-shirt and trunks, walking cool like The Fonz. But that was, like, 10 years ago.

Nowadays, I'm a new dad, and with that comes great responsibilities. Because I want to be a good role model for my boy. So I find myself trying to be more responsible and doing responsible dad stuff. Like paying my bills on time, or taking a shower every day instead of every other day like before, or not getting drunk off my arse like when I was younger. But still, there are those days when kids don't do what you want them to do, and I end up feeling more like the Kindergarten Cop (1990):

But feeling and acting out aren't the same thing, thank goodness! Still, other days I feel like the entire weight of the world is laying on me, like the poor fellow in my screen avatar.

What are your thoughts?
First rule is, 'The laws of Germany'
Second rule is, 'Be nice to mommy'
Third rule is, 'Don't talk to commies'
Fourth rule is, 'Eat kosher salamis'

Nice thread.

I would have liked to have been Sean Kane from An Eye For An Eye

Peter Coetzee (Hardy Kruger) in The Wild Geese - I would have just dumped his racism.

Hercule Poirot in Murder On The Orient Express

And in my more (sadly no more due to celibacy) feminine moments and fantasies, Joan Collins in anything (or rather nothing at all)

From the time I was in junior high school, I loved to collect Indian Artifacts and fossils.
Not long after RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK came out, I was walking a riverbed with a friend of mine looking for stuff and we had to cross a pretty deep, narrow side creek.  I was walking across on a log when I felt it start to crack, so I jumped up and grabbed a branch and swung over the rest of the way.
He said: "You are just like Indiana Jones!"
I said "Indiana Smith, thank you very much!"
And the name stuck!!

I'm also pretty fond of Captain Picard, but I have more hair than he does!

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

Helen Mirren's character,Victoria, in "Reds"....beautiful,sexy,tough,loyal and always ready to have your back. Plus a wicked sense of humor.

Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

When I was in high school, I would watch "The Breakfast Club" and wish that I was as cool as Judd Nelson's "John Bender" character. He was badass, and nobody messed with him.

Sadly, in real life I had more in common with Anthony Michael Hall's dorky "Brian" character. Sigh. No wonder I hated high school.

Jason Stillwell played by Kurt McKinney in No Retreat No Surrender.
Of course there were also the classics like Han Solo and Indiana Jones.
And maybe a little weird one, but I wanted to be like the King of Monsters himself - Godzilla.

I think that's the first time I've seen that Picard meme with a (a) clean and (b) funny message.  :teddyr:

She was also great in The Long Good Friday as Bob Hoskins' girlfriend. Tough and sexy.
