My 512K MP3 player from 2004 works better than my two-year-old 16 GB ipod Touch. Playing it again is like opening a time capsule, all those songs I was into back then.

I never bought an mp3 player without an SD card slot, hence still using my 2nd one ever. I lost the first one which someone obviously picked up (hoping they didn't wipe it straight away and wondered what kind of freak has the library I do)

I am beginning to think . . . is it really written in stone anywhere that a Christmas tree HAS to come down?
How about wrapping it in red ribbons and hearts after New Years' and calling at a Valentine Tree? Then I could wrap pastel ribbons over those and hang eggs from it, and it would be an Easter tree! Once Easter has come and gone, drape it in red, white, and blue bunting and you're good for Memorial Day AND the Fourth of July! Then you could add autumn colors for Labor Day, and just throw on a turkey or two and some pilgrim hats for Thanksgiving. Once Thanksgiving is done, peel away the layers of decorations and HEY! You're ready for Christmas again!!!

Seriously, this is brilliant!

I know a man who went to India and as he was departing he took all the rupees he had left over and stuffed them into the pockets of a little boy at the airport, thinking he was doing the child a favor. He later understood that he'd put the child in terrible danger giving him so much money, and has spent the rest of his life wondering about the consequences of what he did that day.

What to watch on this rainy day?

I promised my daughter we'd watch Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness today. You can never go wrong with Bruce Campbell.
This is my awesome signature.  Jealous?
