Muscle Hedonist

I recently played through Beyond Good And Evil. It's a pretty cool game from the Gamecube era, it's like a mix of Zelda and Playstation Jump 'n Runs like Spyro or Crash Bandicoot, set in a quirky Sci-Fi setting.

The insanely hard old arcade game TARG.  The cunning trickery of the enemies is just brutal.

I remember that one and yeah, the AI was a real b***h on that one...anyhow my latest play and conquest was Splinter Cell:Blacklist. I wasn't used to Michael Ironside not being Sam Fisher this time, but the guy who did the voice came very close to Ironside's pronunciations and inflections several times in the game, so Fisher's character was believable. This one was a tough game..

My kid found a game for my Android tablet that I'm hooked on.

Plague Inc.

You basically try to infect and kill everyone.
This is my awesome signature.  Jealous?

Still plugging away at Skyrim on the PS3. I'm at level 53. Most dragons I just go toe-to-toe with.

The other day while playing, I topped a hill and saw something in the sky. As it got bigger, I realized it was a mammoth that somehow generated in the sky. It slammed to the ground and instantly fell over dead.

I thought I'd have a stroke from laughing so hard.

Goat Simulator. It's f**king awesome!
yeah no.

Downloaded two new titles via 3DS eShop channel last night.

Code of Princess: Sort of a mix between RPG and side scrolling beat em up, with plenty of eye candy/fanservice from the protagonist.

Mutant Mudds: Very retro-styled 2D platformer, with the gimmick of being able to jump into the foreground and background at various points.

Been playing Assetto Corsa, a racing sim for PC.  It's pretty good, the handling of the cars is extremely realistic and the graphics are pretty decent.  It's still in beta test but after paying $40 for it you get the full game when it comes out too.  It still doesn't have a career mode or online.  Was driving the Pagani Zonda the other night and it was fun as hell.  Accelerating away from a corner just made me grin, it's so realistic and so incredibly powerful.

I'm doing a series of classic game videos on YouTube; this is part of the 1980 series.  20 games (and then some honorable mentions) from each year of the 80s.  Almost halfway through the first year.

The last few days I've been playing an indie game I bought based on Manos the Hands of Fate.

It's done in the old NES style with remixes of the music from Manos actually used as the background music.

You also get to fight Hobgoblins, The Robot Monster, and the Giant Claw.

And Torgo flying an airplane.

I went out and bought this. OH...MY...GOD!!! I love this stupid thing!! It is pointless and awesome, all at the same time. I may have to start wearing Depends while playing this. Now, if only I can figure out how to navigate with the jet pack....

This reminds me, man. My friend Richie Knucklez, who I mentioned several times, has a classic arcade business at two locations in New Jersey. www.richieknucklez.com    I also posted earlier that his independent movie "The King Of Arcades" is due out soon. If youforgot any game from the 80's you'll probably see it the movie (or in Richie's private collection like I have.)  If he doesn't have it. no one does
