You've seen 21 out of 176 films!
You're off to a good start! You know there's more to female filmmakers than the idea of the "chick flick," but there's still plenty out there for you to see, so get watching!

Seems like most of the female filmmakers make stuff I'm not interested in.  Oh well.
This is my awesome signature.  Jealous?

14. I guess my taste in films is just too damn manly.

Side note: I had no idea that "Billy Madison" was directed by a woman.

Just 23 so far. Of those, the ones I liked best were:

American Splendor
The Hitch-Hiker
Pay It Forward
Big
Shrek
Something's Gotta Give
Monster
The Hurt Locker
Brave
Frozen
Clueless
The Proposal

Some of those films I haven't seen that they have listed there do look truly awful. They left out the Look Who's Talking films directed by Amy Heckerling....

That surprised the hell out of me.
Ah, the good old days.

A whopping 12.  They remade Endless Love?  LOL the first one was bad enough.

13, but I really don't usually like the types of movies that were among the choices. Of those I didn't see from the list but intentdto are Frozen, Pay It Forward, Shrek, Monster, The Hurt Locker, Brave and The Bling Ring.
Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

42 (or 24%).

From these, I'd recommend Persepolis. This tale of a rebellious girl's coming-of-age in Iran during the Iranian Revolution has managed to quietly captivate most people I've shown it to.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

Only about 20 of them, although I was trying to keep it to movies I watched entirely, instead of ones I've only watched bits and pieces of them.

I keep meaning to watch American Splendor andPersepolis. And Blackfish just to see whats fueling the Sea World backlash.

At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

Pretty low, at 15.  Interesting that there seems to be some sort of consistency: none of the ones I had not seen really jumped out at me as "How did I miss that one?"
