Moving back to badmovies now, I have some good news for all you B-movie DVD finatics.

For Image Entertainement/Something Weird Video, on January 2004 is the release of two Andy Milligan films THE GHASTLY ONES and SEEDS OF SIN on one DVD. Hopefully, the transfers will be good and the films worthwhile for all their trashy Milligan charm. But what is great about the release is that Image Entertainement/Something Weird Video found two 16mm workprint reels of SEEDS OF SIN that contains alternate footage that was removed from the producers. Sadly, they couldn't be incorporated into the original film and are therefore presented as an Extra Feature.

Also in the same month, Image Entertainment/Retromedia Entertaiment are releasing two DVD Double Features: GAMERA VS. MONSTER X (1970) with MONSTER FROM A PREHISTORIC PLANET (1967); IT'S ALIVE (1968) with IN THE YEAR 2889 (1966). I'm suprised that Retromedia is releasing the Lary Buchanan films IT'S ALIVE and IN THE YEAR 2889 as I am sure MGM owns the rights to those films. But we shall have to see what the outcome is.

Anybody up for grabs on these films?

AWWWWWWWWWWW YES!! Gamera vs Monster X! Is Monster X a dinosaur or a Giant Squid it's been a while since I've looked up on Gamera movies. Oh how I'd love to see those two Gamera movies that haven't been realeased for some reason, now I can see one of them  soon (starts drooling)

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

GAMERA VS. MONSTER X is about a stone stature removed from, ahem, "Wester Island" and thus releases an ancient monster called Jiger, even though some in the English print refer to it as Monster X! Monster X is like a four legged dinosaur with a horn sticking out of it's head, while it can emit a lazer beam from it's nose.

It's been a while since I seen the film. Hopefully, Retromedia does a good job with it.

My wife has a strange fascination for the sad decline of Tommy Kirk so yes, a DVD of It's Alive will definitely be welcome in our house (the horror, the horror...)

I'm actually looking forward to seeing IT'S ALIVE and IN THE YEAR 2889. These are two titles that, no matter how bad they are recieved, I still would like to take a look at. And I am really excited about THE GHASTLY ONES/SEEDS OF SIN release as well.

Actually looking forward to seeing them, huh?  So was I.  So was I.

I remember In the Year 2889 as being okay, but that was long years ago.  Good luck on that one.  It's Alive, however, I wouldn't wish on an enemy.  In many ways, I'm still watching it...
