The maid was white. She was warring stockings and a short black skirt. The maid had brown/dark hair past the shoulders.

The genre of the film looked to be a comedy...

Hmm.. sorry.  The only movie I could think of at the time was with a fat, black maid.  That would have been MODERN PROBLEMS.  Well, if you have a full day to do nothing else, go to IMDB.com and look up movies with the keyword "maid" and any other keywords that might be related to your film.  Sorry, that's all I can suggest at this point.
