Why in hell do we have this thing.
Nobody ever visits your page.
Nobody even gives a flying f**k of the minutia of our lives.
I TRIED to cancel my page-but Facebook wont let me.
Nobody realy reads the dumb s**t-and it is just boring dumb s**t.

So I shouldn't post that I was alone in the house for a week and the cats were following me around, staring at me and asking if they could eat my face if I died in my sleep?  Bummer.

You've got a point there. At times, it's like everyone talking all at once so it all sounds like jibberish. Did that make any sense? A mass of useless information (much of which is probably being gathered and stored away by corporations somewhere so they can send even more unwanted advertising your way).  Most of it is nonsense and everyday "minutia" as you put it. Even worse is when someone's a drama queen as uses it as a broadcast booth for their dirty laundry. I do enjoy at times some posts from some particular people, mostly old friends I've made on message boards like this one and others - sometimes though it's hard to spot something cool among all the "minutia" and "drama". I enjoy it here way more though.

What I resent more than anything is the fact Facebook will not allow your account to be deleted. You can remove it from public, but you can't, short of an act of God and Congress, get your information removed.

Just like the Grand Theft Auto V's version of Facebook, this thing is a Life Invader.
