zombie teenager with braces

I saw only a few scenes of this movie, years and years ago, I think on the Spanish channel; I'm pretty sure it was dubbed from English though. It definitely had an 80's feel to it. I pride myself on being a zombie movie aficionado, but I can't for the life of me find this film:

There's a teenager in his bed, violently shaking as he reanimates. He comes downstairs with an evil look on his face, and his mom rushes over to hug him. As she does, he leans forward and shows his braces before biting her head. And a different scene somewhere else, there's a showdown between zombies and humans on a bridge.

Does this sound familiar to anybody?

Sounds like Return of the Living Dead II from 1988.
