FIRE FROM BELOW (2009)

FIRE FROM BELOW starring Hercules (Kevin Sorbo) and Alex Meneses' boobs.

3.5 out of 5

Man, this movie was fun to watch.  It had a LOT of problems.  From actors that could not remember their lines (Meneses) to bad FX to ... well, just dumb technobabble, this one will bring joy to the badmovie-o-phile.

Words cannot completely describe the extent of the bad dialog, hokey acting and ridiculous FX.  Boiling "Lithium" that does not disturb the lake water? We got it.  Disappearing jackets?  We got it.  Disappearing face injury Fx? We got that, too.

And, don't forget the shots with the wake from the camera boat or even the disappearing water skier.  Too may to list...the mistakes in this movie.

Non-visual exposition pointlessly stuck in?  Yep, we got that, too, and just in time to slow down the pace!

But, it's a ton of fun.  You don't NEED to listen to the dialog. Why would you?  It's nonsense anyway.

If you watch this one, look especially for:

* Alex Meneses' disappearing and reappearing jacket

* Maeghan Albach...what was her character supposed to be a Ph.D. in anyway? She was awfully clueless through the whole thing.

* How many times "pee" undid a male character.  No subtext here.

* How many times did Kelly O'Neil Jackson miss getting to make-up?  His head injury prosthetic was there, was not there, was this size, was that size...there again, gone again...

* Chemistry Technobabble to make one miss Brannon Braga's influence in a sci-fi.

* Hay.  When you absolutely have to jump pointlessly onto something when fire is chasing you.

* Smart Lithium.  Need I say more?

Highly recommend for B-movie fans.  Man, we had a blast with this one.

Slight quibble: similar titles, not same.

It's unlikely to be on youtube for free for long (until the uploader gets caught) if it appears there.  Watching on Amazon is little different than watching on youtube, except you pay for the rental (or a Prime membership which gets unlimited rentals of Prime content, which is not the whole Instant Video collection).

Not really understanding the 'complicated' part.

Netflix, Hulu or Amazon are a gold mines for movie fans, but then again, we don't have cable (or a TV to connect it to), so we are not paying for that content delivery.  I've only very rarely had much luck finding full length movies of interest on youtube.
