What movies have you seen where you were left saying is that it? Or that doesn't make any sense whatsoever? What the f*ck was that?

Here's one I actually like but I have to admit the ending left something to be desired:

Quintet (1979) Trailer
"This above all: To thine own self be true!"

Trevor

Andrew Davis' The Package (1989) with its' truly WTF ending.

I honestly did not see that ending coming.  :buggedout:
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Most notorious "That makes no sense" ending: Lucio Fulci's City of the Living Dead (1980). It just freeze frames a random scene.
Most notorious "WTF?" ending: Sleepaway Camp (1983).

That and the film's emulsion cracks.  :buggedout:

CEMETERY MAN has an ending that must be seen to be believed.
And it's got Anne Falchi, too!
"I shall smite you in the nostrils with a rod of iron, and wax your spleen with Efferdent!!"

Worth mentioning: Blood Lake (1987). Bad SOV slasher but the odds where in the filmmakers favor for that amazing WTF? final shot.

2001:  A Space Odyssey springs to mind lol.  Before 2010 came out, I remember people saying they'd watched it 20 times and "Oh I think I finally figured out what the ending means!"

Supernova (2000) was another one.  Some people find an alien McGuffin and in the end it explodes or something.  They ask the ship's computer what will happen and it says something like "The universe may be destroyed...or something wonderful may happen."  Like WTF?  That's your ending lol?

Probably the funniest one I can remember was Showdown at Area 51 (2007).  Aliens have a gigantic fleet of warships ready to invade earth, but our main characters destroy the McGuffin so they're like "Ah heck, mission over, return to base."  Like seriously, you guys have got dozens of spaceships the size of cities, and you're just giving up?   :bouncegiggle:  Talk about lazy and unmotivated.
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

Kinda like the Dr. Who (#11) where he talks an alien fleet out of zapping him. All those aliens and not one thinks 'Hay, lets try zapping him. It could work..."

He really depended on everyone knowing his reputation for that one...but one new guy who said "Why not?..."
"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

Glad I wasn't the only one to think of this film.
This is my awesome signature.  Jealous?

I liked the way this movie started but hated when it turned into full-blown comedy...

Explorers (1985) Original Trailer

"This above all: To thine own self be true!"

But I guess the whole movie is pretty much a wtf.
Thinking logically you have to figure James Wood's character is schizophrenic, but that's no fun. I'd rather take what's happening as real.

I got completely losses at the end of Return To Horror High, but I did really like that film.
