Getting a bad review is the author equivalent of "street cred".  It proves that someone other than your family members and best friends are reading your stuff.
Or it just means you really suck.
Im gonna buy your book Indy-I am gonna read it-if it DOES suck-Ill be honest. But the fact that you wrote a book and got it published-well-I think that is awesome in itself.

Gee-everytime I try to write something nice it comes out being mean.
I really need to read your book-if it is awful-I'll be honest.
But I like HP LOVECRAFT-and if you read his stuff enough-Its really dry-it took me a couple readings to get what he was thinking. Lovecraft-well-it was more about a FEELING. Writing a GOOD story-not about the story itself-its the MOOD you need to convey.. Poe is worse. i can do Lovecraft-he takes you into strange places.
Not a big fan of Poe. I like Shirly Jackson.

I know what you meant, Ronnie, and I appreciate it.
My own opinion is that THE TESTIMONIUM does not suck - it does have some flaws (it's my first book, after all!),
but it's a good fun story overall with some pretty likable characters.  It may not be your exact cup of tea because
it is a Christian story with a strong Christian message, but at the same time, there are exciting archeological
discoveries, a blossoming romance between two of the main characters, and a really nasty villain who is plotting
to blow them all up.
I hope you enjoy it when you get your copy!

You think that's a scathing review? You should see my My Little Pony fan fiction!

(Don't Google it, it doesn't exist. It was a joke.)

In all the reviews I've written here, I don't ever remember getting an unkind review of that review. Constructive crit, yes but no nonsense.
