Assassin's Creed 2- I've been playing this one off and on.  It's been difficult to get any play time in because I don't want to play this one around my toddler. I think I dig this one better than its predecessor, and I'm glad I didn't give up on the series.  This entry eschews a lot of the required recon missions that build up to an assassination, but plus it cuts out the dull Desmond sequences.  Also, it feels like I've been doing more actual assassinating in this one.  Like GF2, I'm about a third of the way through this one.

Rating thus far: 9/10

I finally finished this one after playing it over the past 5 years (!!!). I never really got into it until recently, when I picked up a bundle deal of old Assassin's Creed games from Gamestop. In order to justify that purchase, I felt that I had to finish this one, and I am so happy that I did because once I finally got into this game, I could not put it down for the life of me. I moved on to Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood which is next in the short line of expansions after Assassin's Creed 2. Revelations is next after Brotherhood, so I am trying to play them in order before I tackle Assassin's Creed 3.

Thankfully, they improved the boring Desmond segments a lot in Brotherhood by giving him more of a banter-as-you-go dialogue with Lucy; it appears that they took a very wise cue from the Uncharted series, as Desmond finally appears to have a personality. One could call it an effect on his personality from reliving Ezio Auditore's memories for sake of the plot, but I believe it was more of a wise marketing strategy to compete with Uncharted 2 and the (at the time) upcoming Uncharted 3 games. Either way, Brotherhood is a welcome continuation to Assassin's Creed 2, and I hope that Revelations keeps up the good work when I get to it.

I've been splitting my time between Dragon Age: Inquisition and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls Ultimate Edition.

Both on the PS3 format, which is less than the optimal version. I love them both, though the gameplay is completely different for both games. I think I will only enjoy both on the PS4 versions, but I'm just not willing to drop $400 for a new game system. Even though they are offering a free game (valued at $59) with the system.

I hate holidays.

Busted out the old Snes after many years at my sister's ex-boyfriend house.  Liberation has never been sweeter with Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario 1 2 3 and Street Fighter II, Killer Instinct and the like.

Next Car Game, it's an early access pre-alpha from the guys who made the flat out series
it's good, but there are two issues- the walls act like magnets, cars tend to be stuck to them 2) handling/throttle response feels delayed.
yeah no.

Now on to:
720 Degrees, Atari Games 1986
Cool skateboarding game where you participate in several stunt courses but it's insanely difficult without the arcade controls (unique outer-circular joystick).  Had to use the mouse.. ugh.

Yup - that game was so hard to control, for me anyway... the Nintendo version.
