New album from the Foo Fighters. Nice to see older bands hanging in there.

Foo Fighters are "old"? Now I really feel ancient. XP
FOO FIGHTERS are close to 20 years old.

Maybe I just wish it was 1969-and I was watching Creature Feature,living in the boonies on a dead end road reading Famous Monsters and Captain America comics-building model kits,wandering in the woods.

i was born in 1962-but I really recall when i saw a little kid in Wappinger Falls NY hearing the Rolling Stones Satisfaction-and it always stuck with me as the first song that turned me on to music. I heard Beatles stuff-I liked that too-but I liked this better. I can recall 1966-otherwise I cant recall.I remember music from that time-and when I heard it very clear.

I remember this f**king song because my ma went to Woodstock-we were left with an old black woman we called Aunt Mae-and her boyfreind-a really drunk old guy.
We were jumping on the couch watching Chiller Theater on channell 9 NY-we were sing this song-and she got us to sing Shortning Bread.

I was 7 years old-I remember it-the movie was TWO ON A GUILLOTINE.
I swear to God that you believe in-this is true.

I recon this was the song she taught us little white boys in 1969-she was cool-
It was called Shortning Bread-but the way she song it-was from way before anything-she usta sing us Shortin Bread!

I recon I know the old school version-cuz this woman was in her 50's in 1967.
She usta sing us Shortning Bread.
This is the version I remeber-

She was a real nice lady-I recall her boyfreind that night all drunk passed out with big globs of snot running out of his nose-us kids were more interested in his snot bubbles than the monster movie! This was in upstate NY-this was the movie into-scared the s**t outta me.

I'd like to look at all those YouTubes, but, I get no sound these days from those.  It's not my speakers or sound card, I'd go crazy if I couldn't listen to my music.  I update FireFox but, oh well... not right now...

ELVIS PRESLEY Elvis' Christmas Album
]

I listen to the reissued example of this album; it contains two additional songs with the four spirituals removed.  The two additional recordings are "Mama Liked The Roses" and "If Every Day Was Like Christmas"
