Ever since I started here, I was told that the 1973 South African feature Boesman And Lena was not here in our holdings.

Imagine my surprise a few hours ago when I found a 35mm print of this film tucked away in a corner of one of our vaults. 



Not a nice picture but a very good film and I'm glad we have it.

Thanks Sister N: this version is wayy better then the excruciating 1999 version in which all Angela Bassett seems to say to Danny Glover is "Owww mai gahhhd, Booosemen!" Terrible.

We only keep South African films, unfortunately.
