Thanks Dark Alex! That's exactly the kind of movies I was thinking!

today I saw Taken 2008; really nice... it is Commando, in the new century..

No way.  It doesn't have the machismo or the one liners commando does.  Taken is an old farts action film.

Well... I think you pretty much nailed whats wrong with new century cinema.

I was actually missing some more one liner, we get "it was all personal to me" and the "I believe you, but it's not gonna save you"... Still, nothing really great.

However I loved the: "You could've made this less painful if you had been more concerned about my daughter and less about your desk. Please apologize to your wife for me."

Here some possible improvements:

bad guy(1): l don't know! No! Please! Please... Please... Not that. Please.
Bryan Mills: l believe you. But it's not gonna save you.
(improved) Bryan Mills: Remember the phone call? You'd not expect me to break a promise, do you? Good (switch on the light) luck. (with the same tone of the phone call)

Bad guy(2): Understand. Please try-- There's a boat by the quay... Please understand. lt was all business, it wasn't personal...
Bryan Mills: It was all personal to me.
(improved) Bryan Mills: I gave your chance, you blown it. You (bang bang) misunderstood. Got it now? (while walking away) Thought so.

If you like comedy and crazy stunts, try Jackie Chan in his Hong Kong days. I recommend Police Story 1 & 2 and Armour of the Gods.

Bruce Lee is a must. Enter the Dragon, Chinese Connection, Game of Death, Fists of Fury.

Pam Grier. Coffy, Foxy Brown, Friday Foster, etc.

Thanks for the great suggestions, but does anyone know movies more on the theme of this website? Like "The Killing of Satan" [1983]?
THE SUPER NINJA (1984)
If you want to check it out it's on youtube, but broken up into 10 parts. It's action packed and hilarious.

The Super Ninja
FINAL SCORE (1986)
This one is crazy nonstop action. I've never seen so much stuff blown up (cars, boats, a helicopter, huge buildings & even a whole village) in one movie. The dubbing is a real treat too. Definitely worth a watch.

Final Score / Strike Commando UNCUT (1986; w/Chris Mitchum, Mike Abbott; dir. Arizal)

We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

I saw Super Ninja in the past, it is quite fun. However I never seen "Final Score" and it seems really difficult to find in DVD quality. :(

YEAH! :D I am still in awe thinking to the main character tying the snake!
Besides, it is one the few movies with a mix martial arts and magic I actually liked.

Rev. Powell

I forgot to mention Andy Sidaris for some reason. If you're looking for bad action movies with lots of topless scenes, he is your first stop. Start with HARD TICKET TO HAWAII.

Bruno Mattie's STRIKE COMMANDO is a real gem. Sadly it's another one that's not available (as far as i know) on DVD.

Strike Commando (1987) (Full Movie) (English)

I saw it yesterday... oh dear... Sure the abundance of (often naked) chests improved the movie, but it is really bad... O_o Still beats Signs [2002] though
