The insanely tough old classic shooter HALLEY'S COMET (1986 Taito).
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."

Still playing Skyrim.  So proud of my daughter, she's taken up the lute!

Now I suppose she'll want to go to the Bard's college - they grow up so fast

VenomX73

Besiege PC from Steam

a physics based building game - create a machine and destroy castles

Gilligan's island, Goonies and Godzilla information booth here!

The great Capcom classic SIDE ARMS.  Pilot a mech and scroll in a variety of directions through alien enemy territory, blasting enemies from behind and in front of you (you can about-face with the press of a button).  Collect cool power-ups and upgrade them!
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."

Alien Isolation. And it's kicking my arse. Think I'm on chapter 10. Androids everywhere.

AFTER BURNER/AFTER BURNER II
Classic flight simulators by Sega in 1987.  They're almost exactly alike, just more missions, some slightly different levels and different scoring system on II.  Very difficult to get a grasp on but definitely very cool visuals.
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."

I think I finally stumbled across the main questline in the Falkskaar mod for Skyrim.  It's pretty cool so far.  The enemies are a lot tougher over here, they must level differently than in the main game.  I got my smithing skill up to 90 so I made some Daedric armor and now I'm leveling up my heavy armor skill (I always used light armor before).

Moving onto the arcade classic SHINOBI.
Tough but fun scrolling ninja game similar to ROLLING THUNDER.
"O the legend they say, on a Valentine's Day, is a curse that'll live on and on.."

This game is incredibly underrated.

VenomX73

Tormentum - Dark Sorrow from Steam. It reminds me of Shadowgate (8bit Nintendo)

Point and click - Adventure RPG. It's a demo - full release is March 2015.

I really enjoyed it!

I miss point and click games.

Although Telltale seems to be reviving them.

BIONIC  COMMANDO.
Sequel to Capcom's classic vertical shooter, this is changed completely around to have a multi-direction scrolling platform feel to it, with a new hero equipped with a bionic grappling arm.  Fun, but man is it a noisy game.  For some reason Capcom often poured on the sound for their games.

You know they remade that? In the remake the plot twist is that the bionic arm is somehow the main character's wife.

...Yeah.

I had heard they remade it but didn't really have a look at it.  That.. is one stupid plot device.  :hatred:

They even made fun of it in Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3.
Although I have to wonder why they put him in to begin with.
