Am I the only one that thinks Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) is a good actor?

Well, yeah, I'd rather watch an empty paper bag than Channing Tatum, too.

I don't think Channing Tatum is a great dramatic actor, but I think in comedic roles he's done pretty well.  Or at least, he was funny in 21 Jump Street.

The Rock has a ton of charisma, which helps in every role, and I quite enjoy the Fast films from five on.  How many franchises can say they got really good on installment five?

I've always liked The Rock as an actor. He was more at home in the WWE ring than he was in movies in the past, but it's nice to see that he had finally found himself along the way as a Hollywood actor over the years. The movie that did it for me was The Rundown (2003) opposite Christopher Walken; I believe that was the movie that cast in stone his Hollywood status, because before that The Rock was in some real meatball movies (Scorpion King (2002) anyone?)

One WWE wrestler that people ought to keep an eye on as well, believe it or not, is Batista, who surprised the heck out of me in Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014) with his dramatic turn in that movie. Showing genuine emotions in that film, I was taken aback because I honestly had no idea that Batista had that kind of acting range in him. I hope to see more of that out of him as an actor in the future, because his performance ended up being my favorite part of that movie.

I watched him last night in the premiere episode of HBO's BALLERS.
He is a surprisingly versatile actor.

Well, it looks like Dave Bautista is not going to lack for work outside of the ring anytime soon, as he is scheduled to appear in these films . . .

2015
Bus 657
Warrior's Gate
Spectre
the next Bond film,
where he plays the villain.

2016
Kick boxer : Vengeance

and he is rumored to be in "Highlander," which has just been announced, and . . .

I can't see him, even as busy as he is, not being in the next "Guardians of the Galaxy 2," which is scheduled for 2017.

Think he's (Batista) supposed to be the Kurgan in Highlander remake...

Dwayne is pretty good. Won't be getting Oscars, but he's pretty solid.

He sticks to comedy and action, his strong suits.

I could see him eventually phasing out the action and sticking to comedy within five years. Maybe doing more tv.

He still pops up in WWE. Just made an appearance at a non-televised WWE show. It's his home and he loves the live crowd

They tried twice to get something off the ground. The 1st time with Tim Allen. The 2nd time with Tom Hanks. Now, it looks like they finally may be getting something. Thus, when you are hot, you are hot, and when you are not you are not. And right now Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is hot. Which is why you'll see him as your Skipper in "The Jungle Cruise : the Movie." One question is when you'll see it, as Mr. Johnson has 4 films scheduled for 2016 and 2 more for 2017, but . . .?! There is a blank spot in 2018, before he appears as Black Adam in  "Shazam!" in 2019. And, oh yea. "The Movie" is not contemporary. The rumor has it as being a period piece.

And we shall see what we shall see.
