We went to something called a Home Run Derby tonight and it was a lot more fun to watch than regular baseball, just guys standing there hitting home runs all night, which is what everyone hopes will happen anyway in a baseball game, right, so why don't they ditch the other kind of playing and... That reminds me of the new trend in cricket: 120 balls faced by each side, major hits into the crowd, good fun, great excitement and all over in three hours or less. This is the future known as T20 Cricket: who has five days to watch a Test match anymore?

Apparently they used a new format for the Home Run Derby this year and it was a big hit.

I really question if I'll ever meet the right girl someday. Being rejected and disappointed on multiple occasions (including some serious letdowns last year) have really taken a toll on my confidence. It honestly feels like it'll never happen and I'm lying to myself by thinking there's someone out there for me.

I've started skateboarding again. It's been more than 20 years since I last did it regularly. I keep almost breaking my wrist but I'm having a good time. It's very different doing it at 40 than 14 though. For one, I can have a beer afterwards.
