Hi there everyone at Badmovies.org.

I am trying to find the title of an old Black & white B-movie ( i think, it could of been in Colour) i just remember watching it on my old B/W set in my bedroom back in 1988. It was really low quality, & was aired around the same time as "The Incredibly strange film" show with Jonathan Ross. It was about a monster which came from a murky lake ( basically a guy with a Mask on, which was pretty cool actually). One of the scenes was where he had captured a female & was going to take her back into the lake with him. The other a scene where someone was walking through the shallow lake and the monster guy lay asleep on the shallow bottom of the lake only to be woken by the unsuspecting person. Probably done in the 50's but who knows ? It's all a bit sketchy now but i can't find any images or info on the web about it, so i thought i'd try it here. Thanks for looking, i will read the posts here as to help anyone out there looking for their forgotten gems - Cheers - Simon.

The best-known "Creature" rip off is 1959's The Monster of Piedras Blancas.  The monster does carry the girl in a scene towards the end.  I don't know about the underwater scenes, though.

It could also be HORROR OF PARTY BEACH, or the BEACH GIRLS AND THE MONSTER.

Hi thanks you guys for the info you gave, but unfortunately it's neither of the films.
But thanks ever so much for posting your thoughts, cheers - Simon.

Couldn't possibly be Creature of Destruction or It's Alive, the 1960s Larry Buchanan TV movies....could it? Those were in color but I don't recall scenes quite like you describe...

I was thinking of those too-or the early 70's cheapies,ZAAT! or RAAN-the LEGEND OF SHADOW LAKE (1975)

Hey Guys thanks once again for all the info on these films.I've checked them all out but still it ain't the one i'm after.
It's more of a man walking up and down with a full Monster mask on opposed to a full monster suit (i think).
Still think it's Black & White, but could be in colour. Thanks again i'll keep trying to find it myself & let you all know if i come across it.
Simon.

Could it be Zaat aka Blood Waters of Dr. Z, Humanoids from the Deep, or maybe something obvious like the sequel Revenge of the Creature?  Those have the kind of lake-monster-abduction scene you're talking about.

Creature of Destruction was a remake of The She Creature (1956). Could it be The She Creature?  (Just going by the 50's swamp-monster theme.)
