Does Adobe Flash Player SUCK FOREVER or what?
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

At least right now-its the only one that let's me watch and hear youtube video's.  Whatever firefox has going on, when I use it to visit certain video sharing sites, I'm getting no sound.  I've tried it with Flash both enabled and disabled and neither worked. So I had to use IE and Flash.

Its a dying platform.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

True enough, there just does not seem to be any kind of a solution to a problem that is fixable.

When you get the "no sound" thing, try looking at the actual volume of the embedded video which is giving you no sound.  Wave your mouse over it.  I had the same problem and was appalled to discover that the auto setting must be at zero volume.

Well, Amazon just dropped Flash support and went 100% HTML5, except they don't offer compatible player for Firefox on Linux. Forced migration to Chrome or spend months trying to get Amazon to refund my prorated Prime subscription...

So, why is this relevant to a Flash thread?

A.) Yes, it is very much a dying platform

But,

B.) It was a competing platform for content delivery. Loss of competition in the marketplace is rarely good for the customer.

Bodie:      I've been giving myself shock treatments.
Professor Hathaway: Up the voltage.

Adobe Flash itself is now on borrowed time.  Adobe is going to re-brand Flash as Adobe CC Animate.   Sounds like its going to focus more on being an animation tool instead of having any web design functionality.
