Did anyone see Krampus yet?  Been following it for a long time, but haven't gotten a chance to get to the theatre yet.  It's from the director Trick R Treat, which is fantastic.  Tonally it's evidently like Gremlins, something I miss quite a bit.

Also, Krampus (the mythological figure) becoming popular here is awesome.

Actually, I'm going to see it in theaters tonight! I'm looking really forward to it!
"Listen, you've got to get down below. There's something coming through, and it's the nastiest looking thing yet! Some of your buddies went down there a while ago, and I haven't seen them since."

I haven't seen it but I've heard good things.

Saw it last night. It was awesome and hilarious! I won't spoil it for anybody, but one of my favorite scenes... well, it involves a few of the villains and a nail gun.  :bouncegiggle:

Saw it the other night and I really liked it, not as much as Trick R Treat, but still really good.

i thought the characters were great, had some really funny bits and looked awesome.

Really liked it,  can't say I loved it as a movie, but I wish I could.

Some implied spoilers below

But the one thing about the movie that I did love was the design and art direction.  It's almost all practical effects, there's two major CGI sequences.  One involved the mentioned villains and nail gun, but for me the highlight of the film is when there was the telling one of the character's backstory and its told in an animated sequences that looks like something out of Nightmare before Christmas  or Coraline.  If that had been a half hour dark Christmas sepecial it would have been an instant cult classic.

It's definitely got a great look and style to it.

I know a lot of people on this board will probably love this film.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

Went home for a week and since no one else in the family was interested in going to see Krampus me and my little brother used it as an excuse to go out, get a few drinks and go see a horror movie. Enjoyed it a lot, although I wouldn't say it was a classic. When it comes out on DVD I'm sure it'll find a space in my collection.

I did finally see this, actually after Christmas.  I liked it, was entertained, thought it was well-made, and had great creature design.  I did have a few issues - the biggest is it seems to be aiming higher with its characters than it achieves.  Like, the level of characterization wasn't quite there.  Also, tonally it didn't quite work as perfectly as Trick R Treat did.  Still a solid film, and I really think a lot of people here will dig it.  I'd give it a 7/10.
