I have three questions for you all.

#1: What is the most common thing you have for breakfast?

#2: What's your favorite thing(s) you have for breakfast?

#3: What's your least favorite thing to have for breakfast?

1) I most often eat a breakfast of toast with jam and peanut butter spread on it with some fruit and milk and sometimes juice. It's a pretty good energy booster and pretty quick to make. I always eat this on school days.

2) I always love having sausage especially spicy sausage with plenty of mustard.

3) at the moment all I can come up with is Banna Nut Muffins and Poppy Seed Muffins *YUCK!*

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

Well this is a silly topic....but i'll divulge:

#1: What is the most common thing you have for breakfast?
cereal..fast and easy before I go to work. Close second goes to scrambled eggs with louisiana hot sauce and bacon which i have most weekends

#2: What's your favorite thing(s) you have for breakfast?
Hands down: Homemade biscuits, gravy and bacon. I even make this for dinner. In fact if i'm ever on death row this will be my last meal. I will eat so much of this as to become physically ill. I will also enjoy every moment of it - i'm a biscuit eater. Just the very fact of mentioning this meal is giving me serious thought to making some for dinner tomorrow.

#3: What's your least favorite thing to have for breakfast?
nothing. I only make what I like to eat.

Why not just have a thread on death row, last movie to watch and meal to eat.
For me that might be "glitter" - two hours of that and i'll be running to the chair begging, ready to give myself up to the lord

I eat non-sugared cereals like Grape Nuts, Corn Flakes, Corn/Wheat/Rice Chex, Shredded Wheat & Cheerios.
Pretty much anything natural made of wheat, corn, oats/barley etc...
I prefer most anything made by Post....especially Post Toasties...they blow away Kellog's Corn Flakes...Toasties are much better in my opinion.
I can get over a 1 lbs. box of them for $2.22 at my local grocery store (yes it's sad that I memorized the price) while a box of Corn Flakes costs me at least a dollar more and aren't as good.
An excellent deal if you ask me.

I like sugared cereals and all but I never really buy them.....They often cost more and I figure why pay more for food that's not as good for me as what I usually like.
That plus I'm somewhat of a cheapskate...no....frugal is the better word!
Hehe!.
If it costs more than $3 a box forget it.

I prefer my cereal plain in milk....nothing else....no sugar, fruit or any other junk for me.
Also, I have this thing about pouring the milk in first....then the cereal....the cereal must never become soggy...at least if I can help it.
The cereal should be like small sailing ships...always try to keep them afloat & dry...never let them sink if possible.
Of course the inevitable always happens and many do sink taking with them wheat/barley/corn/oat atoms that will never see their families again.
Okay enough of that...LOL...what was I saying?

Oh right....
My cereal must be eaten in 2% milk.
I like all kinds of milk except whole milk (too thick for me) but cereal just isn't quite the same unless it's eaten with 2%.
2% simply offers that balance that no other milk can offer.
Not too thick...not too thin.
Just right.

My all time favorite cereal is Cheerios...plain in milk of course.
My favorite all time sugared cereal is Golden Grahams.
My most hated cereal would be Raisin Bran....Yuck!
I love raisins but having them in my cereal somehow makes me think that they're small purple mouse turds.....Ugh!
I forgot that Raisin Bran was made by Post...strike that as one Post product i have always sincerely disliked.
My cereal must be free of everything but milk...and my spoon of course!
Cinnamon Toast Crunch runs a close second on my "Most Hated Cereals" list.
I've hated it since I was a kid.

I live alone so I never really cook things for my self such as eggs, bacon & sausage.
I also have a toaster but haven't used it in months.  Besides, I prefer a hot English Muffin with peanut butter & grape jelly in the morning over regular bread/butter for toast anyday.

I'm never up in time for brekfest, I'm too much of a slacker.

When I'm actually up for it, leftovers from the night before.  I love leftovers, it makes it seem like having dinner for Breakfast!  Yum!

> #2: What's your favorite thing(s) you have for breakfast?

I LOVE 3 eggs + scattered-smothered-covered + Bacon.  With COFFEE.  GOD do I miss being in a state with a Waffle House...

A passable alternative is Eggs, cheezy hash browns, and smoked sausage.

> #3: What's your least favorite thing to have for breakfast?

I guess I could say cream of wheat or grits, both of which are pretty nasty in my book.  (And, yes, to all you grits fans, I have tried it with sugar, with honey, with jam, and with salt.  I've tried it with and without butter.  I've tried it with cheese.  Grits suck.  They just do.)

I have to agree with Grumpy....

Grits are nasty!
I too have given them several tries with the same types of dressings like sugar, honey etc...

Plain cereal in milk for me!

My most common breakfast is cereal (normally, something fairly healthy like Special K, as opposed to somethimh with a lot of sugar).

My favorite breakfast is EVERYTHING.  I enjoy going out for breakfast and ordering pancakes, eggs, hash browns, corned beef hash, bacon, sausages, etc.  My wife and I used to go out for breakfasr almost every Saturday morning, but I gained too much weight so we don't do this so much anymore.

My least favorite breakfast is grapefruit.  There aren't many foods that I don't like, but there is something about the taste of grapefruit that I just do not enjoy.  In fact, as I sit here, I can think of only 3 foods that I do not enjoy:

* Grapefruit
* Liver
* Cocoanut

I have eaten and enjoyed just about everything else including rattlesnake, frog (not just the legs . . . the whole body), snails, buffalo, ostrich, octopus, squid . . . you name it.

I don't usually eat breakfast; I'm just not that hungry when I wake up. When I do eat breakfast, it's usually a dry bowl of sugar cereal, or occasionally something of the sausage/bacon/pancake family.

Also, have they stopped making Count Chocula? I looked for it the last time I was at the supermarket, and couldn't find any.

I have definitely seen it in the supermarket within the past few months.  So, if they stopped making it, it happened very recently.

Most days, I rush out of the house without anything, then buy a large coffee (cream and sugar) and a donut or other quick pastry, usually at the store near my office. A coffee and donut to go is an extremely common breakfast in Canada, judging by the drive-through lines at the three Tim Hortons I pass on the way to work.

If I get on a health kick, my day starts with a protein shake, high-fibre cereal, orange juice and vitamins.

My favourite breakfast would be crispy (but not too crispy) bacon, eggs over easy with salt and lots of pepper, greasy home fries with ketchup, whole wheat toast with butter, orange juice and coffee. If I go out for breakfast, that's what I usually get. If it's a buffet, I'll throw on some pancakes too, but only if the syrup is real.

Can't say what my least favourite breakfast would be, I like just about everything, from porridge to leftover pizza.

What I've been eating: Swanson Great Starts breakfast sandwhiches. Lately I've been eating the egg, chees and Canadian Bacon (AKA ham) on a muffin. Wrap them in a paper towel and stick it in the microwave for 2:30. I may stop now that they seem to be switching to a scrambled egg paty rather than a fried one.

Favorite breakfast: Either pancakes and sausage (Brown 'N' Serve) or fgrench toast and bacon. Ulike most people, I sweeten my french toast with sugar. I tried syrup once and it ended up tasting like waffles. I have nothing against waffles, but if I wanted something that tasted like waffles, I'd have waffles.

Least favorite: Probably any cereal with marshmallows in it, yuck! Or any unsweetened cereal. I have a serious sweet tooth when it comes to things like that and just can't eat plain cereal. The one exception would Raisin Bran, which I like, but for me, any kind of Bran is like industrial strength Ex-Lax.

Susan

Btw what is up with the high doses of sugar in the morning? The human body just cannot do it! When my work brings in krispy kremes and other pastries, it isn't but an hour later before everyone's stomach is churning like an old woman making butter. Guess i'm the only biscuit/gravy eater here.

On a rare occasion i've had champagne and fresh garlic bagels in the morning..now that is delicious.

As far as pancakes go I'm a weird girl - I enjoy a firm flapjack (not the soggy kind) with butter. I'll have a small little bit of syrup on the side to dip the occasional piece in but i highly prefer my pancakes with butter and bacon on the side...no syrup. I also bury those scrambled eggs of mine in course ground pepper as well as the hot sauce. Boy i could have a whole topic on my odd eating habits....

Cheerios -- no milk

Poppyseed bagel with cream cheese, salmon & tomato, and mimoso (rare occasion)  AND GOOD  COFFEE

> #3: What's your least favorite thing to have for breakfast?
just coffee.  My stomach doesn't sit well with just coffee, it needs some carbohydrates.

Scott

We picked up some Krispy Kreme Donuts last night, so naturally I had a Krispy Kreme donut this morning.

My Favorite thing for breakfast is going to the local diner and getting the Godfather Omlette (spicy peppers and sausage mixture with egg) and/or Hot Cakes and Big Link Sausages all with Orange Juice and Toast and Home Style Fried Potatoes.

If at home the usual is Raisin Bran. Sometimes I also have it just before bed. Occasionally I will eat Frosted Flakes because they're g-rrr-eee-aaa-tt !

No, they haven't.  I can't explain why you couldn't find it - it's still out there.  They even re-introduced Frankenberry and Booberry cereals.
