I saw this one on DVD down at the little movie shop I rent from.

I thought I'd ask you for your opinion to see if it was any good before I rented it.

Here's the IMDB listing for it which also includes the trailer:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0343449/

Has anyone seen this and if so, is it any good?

I too came pretty close to renting this one.  Didn't want to waste the cash until I had read some reviews.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

This may be the worst thriller I have ever seen. Having Phillip Noyce (an untalented but rather competent director) in charge, being based on a best-seller novel and having a known cast, you'd think that at least it is entertainning. Wrong! I don't think I believed for a second anything that was happenning on the screen, acting was either dismal or phoned in, and don't make me talk about the plot. Save your soul, Ashthecat, avoid at all costs and watch an Albert Pyun film (like "Postmortem", which is similar but waaaayyy better) instead. It is that bad.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Made in South Africa and the only person in cast I heard of before was Scott Barstow (actually the only American in the cast). I think Neville 's got this mixed up with something else. This was one of those SciFi Channel Saturday  night movies.

It's really dumb what the monster ends up being.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Mr_Vindictive

I believe you have the flick confused with The Bone Collector

Indeed. My mistake. I thought Ashthecat wanted feedback on "The bone collector", a thriller directed by Phillip Noyce and starring Anjelina Jolie and Denzel washington. Sorry for the inconvenience.
