I would just like to be less lonely over Christmas.  :bluesad:

You've posted in here you expect to be celibate for the foreseeable future, and if that's your choice there's nothing wrong with that at all, but, Trevor, you seem like such a nice man with a lot to offer another person that I can't understand why it is you're lonely, if you don't want to be. Someone would be lucky to love you, and I am sure there are those out there who would appreciate you for what you are, which is the sweet individual everyone here knows you to be. I hope you know that about yourself, and I hope you're not lonely this Christmas, or anytime.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

First of all, hugs to you.

I've been badly knocked around in my life - abuse, abandonment - and as a result of that and other things, I have major trust issues. My last relationship ended in 2004 - it ended very badly - so I have been celibate by choice since then up until now and I have not let anyone get close to me again, for fear of being hurt. I have special peeps in my life both here and in my day to day life so I get by with those but yes, I am lonely and am afraid of getting hurt again.

Aww...hugs: I will be seeing my special niece and nephew this Christmas so that should blow the lonely cloud away for a while.

Just to explain: I seem to be a person that people like - kids like me especially, not sure why, never been sure why and I seem to relate well to young peeps too - and yes, I do love a very special someone in my life very very much, but I am so damn afraid of getting hurt again.

So, lonely in my life: as Al Pacino said in the movie Heat: "That's it, that's my life."   :bluesad:

I'd also like not to work on Christmas this year, that was very depressing last year
