As a fellow historian, I've always thought John Wayne's The Alamo was accurate - even if it did have a South African raised actor playing Colonel Travis  :wink: - until you informed me otherwise.  :teddyr:

I think the idea of a Modern American History class is excellent . So much has happened in the last 30 years-the fall of Communist Russia and the Eastern Bloc countries,the wars in the Mid-East-were very important and relevant to events today.
