I grew up in the late 60's-and the 1970's-that was my era of childhood. In the 80's I was an angry adult weened on Vietnam and Black Sabbath.

My older borther-who had reaal long hair-and was not so much a hippie as he was a punk. He intoduced me to music that was f**ked up. I usta listen to music from the radio. Back in 1973-the radio did not play Mike's music. They played f**king the Carpenters and Elton John-who I hated.

Mike played THIS!

That's why-in the 80's-I turned to punk rock-NYC punk,to be exact-cuz thats where I lived for a time then.

The most beautiful sad song ever sung. Ever really listen closely to these lyrics?

I like the song a lot, the vocal performance even more, but I always hear Hawkeye singing, "They asked me how I knew/Her brassiere was blue..."

Luis Bacalov was a pretty good Italian arranger/composer who made a career imitating his more famous peers. He was the guy you called in to score your spaghetti western when you couldn't afford Ennio Morricone. Here he fills in for the recently deceased Nino Rota, and you probably would never have known it's not a Rota score without looking at the cover.

I actually had to look up the lyrics online and read them-to understand. I always liked the song-but now it takes on the form of  a tragic play.Thank you.

Alex

Finally got around to around to picking up a couple of Disturb's albums. I want to listen to Down With The Sickness, while Kristi wants their cover of Sound Of Silence on repeat.

"RC thinks he saw Allhallowsday on Myspace" is one of my favorite badmovies.org running subplots.

I DID see him! It wasn't a UFO! It was HIM!
