What movies do you watch every time they come on tv no matter how many times you have seen them? Mine are:

American Job (until IFC stopped showing it) has anyone else seen and enjoyed this one?
For Better or Worse
Exorcist
The Omen
London is Killing Me (another great IFC never shows any more)
Joy Ride
Jeepers Creepers
any of the old Hitchcock films (definitely not bad movies)
any of the old Godzilla movies

If it's on Cinemax past midnight, it has to be bad.

Star Wars
The Blues Brothers
only ones I can think of at the moment.  Most of the movies get "edited for content" which at the least is annoying, and I don't watch movies to get annoyed.

FearlessFreep

Second Star Was and The Bles Brothers

also Beastmaster (any of them)

Going places unmapped, to do things unplanned, to people unsuspecting

Here are some of mine that I find repeating over and over again every time they come on.

Tremors
Return of the Living Dead
Fistfull of Dynamite
High Anxiety
Falling Down
Rocky

Max Gardner

The Running Man (the goofiest Stephen King movie ever)
Dog Soldiers (smart, funny British horror)
Rear Window (Hitchcock's best)
Primal Force (great killer-baboon movie with Ron Perlman and surprisingly high production values)

Scott

Yea, RUNNING MAN and BLUES BROTHERS are a couple more of those repeat type movies that I enjoy.

And today the president closed the nation's last remaining submarine base at Groton, Connecticut. When ask why he had made the startling decision the president responded, 'Those funny little black ships just keep sinking anyway'.

I prefer not to watch movies on TV because of the editing for content as raj mentioned and also because commercials always break up a movie's tempo and render it less entertaining.  However, the movies I will not miss on TV are those that I don't own and cannot find at a video store.  These are always older and somewhat obscure movies - otherwise I can find them in the video stores.  In the past few months, I made sure to catch the following movies on TV:

The Taking of Pelham 123 - Walter Matthau as a transit cop, Robert Shaw as a killer who hijacks a NY subway train for ransom.  A good sleeper with a neat ending.

Rough Cut - Burt Reynolds as a jewel thief.  Saw it as a kid and wanted to check it out again.  Wasn't as good as I recalled.

Murder by Decree - Christopher Plummer as Sherlock Holmes going after Jack the Ripper.  Again I saw it as a kid, and liked it.  Johnny Depp's "From Hell" basically swiped the plot directly from this movie (minus Holmes), altough it is an actual theory on who the Ripper was.

Up the Creek - Tim Matheson in a teen sex version of Race for Your Life Charlie Brown.  Saw it a billion times in the 1980s on HBO, but haven' seen it since.  Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed.

THE LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK and I LIKE TO HURT PEOPLE. They are good repeat viewings also MY NAME IS NOBODY.

The Burgomaster

None.  I avoid watching movies on TV at all costs.  DVD all the way, man!

"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

BGrade

Logan's run.
Posidan Adventure
Any Planet of the Apes
Big trouble in little china
And god forbid.  Goonies.

I even own most of these (except goonie and a few apes) on DVD and I'll still watch them on TV.

For a few other movies I'll honor the fact the they are currently on TV by putting in the DVD. Such as
Soldier and Running Man.

waterworld = i'm embarassed to admit it. I don't particularly like the movie, but for some reason whenever it's on I always settle to watching it. Seems like there should be a medical condition for this.
