At one point I was working at a Subway and I had this thing where, occasionally without even realizing it, I would put my hand on top of the serving bar while talking to customers.  You see, I'm six foot six and EDIT: have always had some back trouble, and being that the counter was a bit low for someone of my height, I'd have to spend a chunk of my shift stooped over slightly to better make the orders.  Anyway, the management (guy who's like half a foot shorter than I am) go onto to me about doing this because he said it "looked bad".  I politely explained why I did it (height, back problems and all) and he again says to me I need to stop.  Well, at this point it'd become a bit of a habit, but I said, "Okay, I'll work on it."  Cause, I figure I might still catch myself doing it every now and then but I'd do my best not to.

He says, "Well, don't 'work' on it, just quit doing it!"  

(sigh)

Anyone who tells you how great it is being really tall, has NO idea what they're talking about.

Don't have any milk, and I tossed all my meds that made me sleepy after a regrettable OD incident I had last year.

I've gone through something similar when I was on Adderall for ADHD. No, I'm not currently taking Adderall or any other uppers. My body will sleep as soon as whatever is in my head finally shuts off.

Just invited my half brother and sister and their mother to come up and visit us for a few days. Their mother is about 10 years younger than me. The boy is having some behavioural problems due to how his (ok, well our) father treated him. He is 8 years old and has said he wants to follow in my footsteps and join the RAF when he is old enough, so going to try and behave myself and actually for once be a good role model. He is a sweet kid and I really hope I can help him.

Just got out of a play and it is STORMING like crazeee!

So, I was watching a bit of Forensic Files and they had this woman on there who's husband had been murdered.  Long story short, the guy who killed the hubbie had been manipulated into doing it by the wife.  You see, the wife had been chatting online with this guy for months, they eventually met, had an affair, then she told him that her husband was abusive, in with the mafia and dealt drugs (the police found no evidence for any of these accusations.)  She also told her lover that she was PREGNANT with his twins (the lover, not her husband), even though she had had her tubes tied years before.  She even sent him a photo of a positive pregnancy test (which she had gotten from a friend), and pictures of an ultrasound (which was of her son, whom she'd give birth to several years before.)

THEN to top it off, she told the guy her husband had punched her repeatedly in the stomach causing her to lose "his" babies and she even sent photos of her "bruised" belly (which she did using some makeup tricks).  Once the guy had bumped off her husband, she then quit responding to his emails and calls, eventually leading him to commit suicide.

Wow... there's some evil ass people in this world.  It's things like this that make me think maybe it's not so bad that I haven't had a serious relationship in a long time. 

Another neat little side note: had to chuckle a bit at how OLD the episode obviously was.  For starters, the narrator said they recovered a computer from the murderer's house and sent it to the FBI to be examined using the "new" science of computer forensics.  Undeleting several files, they were then able to find the couples' transcripts from various America Online chat sessions.
