Funny how the paleface ghoul with the black lips & eyes is laughable by today's film standards, yet strangely effective in old black & white, & even more so on cheaper filmstock...

Why don't you see many people with just mustaches anymore?  It's almost always a goatee now.  When did the plain mustache fall out of style?

Also, when the goatee become acceptable and not just something that made you look like the devil?

I'm trying to grow a mustache, but it isn't going that well. Now my beard on the other hand is growing wildly.
yeah no.

Too many guys with mustaches I've seen look like seventies porn stars.

To me the most unrealistic thing about the Harry Potter series is not the spellcasting and dragons and giants and magic castles, or even the way parents seemed jolly fine with sending their offspring away to be raised by a boarding school ten months a year, it's the fact Harry Potter leaped right into marrying Ginny Weasley at seventeen, sentencing himself to a lifetime of monogamy instead of cashing in at every sex-oozing singles bar in Diagon Alley, scoring tail 24-7 with the pickup line, "Hi, I'm the dude who whacked f**king Voldemort."

Does it say in the book that they married at 17?
"I shall smite you in the nostrils with a rod of iron, and wax your spleen with Efferdent!!"

Well, if he did not marry at seventeen he still married young because Harry and Ginny's oldest son James was a schoolmate of Remus Lupin's son Teddy in The Cursed Child, and Teddy was born while Harry was technically in his (unattended) seventh year at Hogwarts.

Happy pride week to any men who proudly have sex with other men, or women who proudly have sex with other women. Enjoy life.  Be yourself. Have confidence. Be wise. Be tolerant. Suck a dick or eat snatch and be good at it.

Had two of my wifes nephews come over to visit for a week. One is 17 and the other 12. The 17 year old doesn't seem to like trying new things and I am sure would find accounting something too exciting for him and is the epitiny of a moody teenager. The younger one is the total opposite and was doing everything new he possibly could. Managed to get him into bad horror movies (thanks to Killer Tomatoes Eat France & Sharktopus) as well as getting him into reading HP Lovecraft stories (he is not someone who normally likes to read, and he'd mentioned his mum keeps trying to get him to read more so I hope I did a goodf thing there). I may get into trouble from his parents though if they find out I let him watch Alien and Predator. He is also working on plans to make his own glider / wings (researching whch materials would be best) and a grappling hook (both of which his dad won't let let him make, understandably).

Mostly took them places during the day, then played games and watched movies with them at night. There are a few ruined castles nearby as well as the shell of a cathedral that one of my ancestors burned to the ground when the local bishop upset him so we took them there. They seemed to have a good time and their family was amazed that we actually got the older son to smile in two or three of the photos.

Wish I'd had an uncle who was that cool.

I hate arguing with a rusted screw, it strips in a tantrum which makes a project that much more frustrating.
yeah no.
