I'm going back to school

In a little under 2 weeks I'm officially going back to the university where I graduated from in May of 2008. This was my plan after I quit my horrible job last month. It is my intention to get certified to teach elementary education. This isn't all about money, although that is a part of it. This is about the pursuit of happiness. I'm excited and can't help but feel a little old while doing this.

Well, as someone who also went back to school after a long absence, I want to wish you the best!

I'm just a few weeks away from being done with year one of law school.

Well, I'm all registered up for the fall.

4 classes. Gonna kick ass and chew bubble gum and I'm all outta bubble gum.

I bought books for 3 of my 4 classes, so this is becoming a little more real to me. I'm a little concerned that the book for the other class isn't available for purchase yet considering it starts at the beginning of next month.

I'm also a little skeptical of the online classes but I guess I'll see how it goes. There's no real good place where I live to have my laptop with a reliable internet connection, a notebook (will I never need one  ) and a school text book near by.

I checked my school email for the first time in a week or 2. My tuition went up just a little because "state mandated fee charges" even though my payment plan was set in stone months ago. This is bulls**t.

Why do I get the feeling that there would be a fee for having a fee?

My gut feeling that this is an effect of a state budget not being set in stone on time. It's still being debated now, was due to be in place a while ago.

I picked up my math book earlier, just leaves one book left to pick up --- might help if the teacher picked the text for the class so I could buy it 

I literally need the book in 3 weeks and if it's back ordered I might not get it in time

I'm growing increasingly concerned that the teacher STILL hasn't picked the required text for the class. I literally need this book in 2 weeks.

I learned yesterday that I won't be able to get any sort of assistance from anyone on how to navigate the online site, which I have never used before, from any college staff which in my book is kind of bulls**t.

I start next week and I'm kind of sort of lost on the stupid website.

Still no update on the book I need either, which I was told might be somewhere on the online only classes website which I have yet to see anything for any of my classes for, save the math class.

I'm kind of thinking I might have made big mistake.

2 days in and so far I learned that my plan to just stare at my computer for hours on end for the classes isn't the best idea. I did that yesterday and got a massive headache.

Today I learned that I need to be using Chrome when using the school website because my popup blocker on what I use for surfing the web for leisure purposes didn't allow a popup even after I told it to. Much cursing happened.

Wish me luck, I have my once a week night math class, not sure how this is gonna work. Class gets out at 9:05 tonight.
