The "Tar Zombie"s voice from Return of the Living Dead.

I have the DVD of "Return of the Living Dead" and you know the Zombie had all his flesh melted when the canister from the begining of the movie broke. In the movie he has a really cool and deep voice, but I watched the trailer and his voice is high pitched. Does anyone know if this was a change for the DVD version of the movie or jus some sort of a weird mistake?

If I remember correctly O' Bannon made some changes to the sound for the dvd release so it is indeed not the original version.  Dead Beat Dance by the Damned in Suicide's driving scene is missing and is replaced by some other song that is uncredited also.
