Netflix Remaking Lost in Space!!?

I can't just trust Wikipedia, so I clicked on a link to Netflix: https://www.netflix.com/title/80104198

I may need a Netflix subscription and a faster internet connection...

I hope they run Dr. Smith like the early version, a very competent, sinister and menacing figure rather than the annoying snivelling cowardly pompous buffoon he turned into.  In the few episodes where john Harris got to may a bad guy he was effectively menacing
