GREAT movie ! I want a review. Please?

BGrade

One of my top 5 favorites.

However; I would say that  is doesn't belonged reviewed on this site.
It is a classic and it has B-movie elements. However;
It isn't  a bad movie and it isn't a low budget B-movie.  It is a well craft movie made to look like a B-movie. It's more like muesem quality  art dipicting what B-movies are.
The last thing this site needs is art.  No offense.

What this sight needs is a review of "Terminal Virus" or "Electra"
If you want a Carpenter film reviewed, go for "Vampires" or "Ghost of Mars"

Andrew doesn't have the time to watch a good movie

I luv dolma

I had trouble sitting through it...

I liked Kurt better in Tango & Cash.

Scott

I liked BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA, but I rate it as something close to THEY LIVE type of movie. Both are good movies.

Neville

Sorry, I don't like it. It has some funny stuff and good fantasy moments, but I hate Kurt Russell on this one and I also found most of the humour excruciating. That's it. I finally said it. I AM A CARPENTER FAN AND I DON'T LIKE THIS ONE!!!!!!

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Flangepart

Oh, kay....Uh, Neville...please step away from the fire ax. We're all friend here.....

"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

Grumpy Guy

I absolutely love this movie.  It's really one of Carpenter's best, up there with Prince of Darkness and The Thing.  It's got sometruely classic lines in it, great action, an interesting plot, and a seriously hammy and fun performance from Kurt.

This movie is more fun than...than...a really fun thing!

Neon Noodle

I could probably trace my obsession with Raiden from Mortal Kombat back to this movie. I loved the character with the HUGE asian hat that shot lightning out of his fingers.

Interesting tidbit I picked up somewhere, when the guy makes the symbol between his hands in the beginning of the movie; the symbol is the Kanji character for "Carpenter" - a nod to the director, no doubt...

While on a journey, Chuang Tzu found an old skull, dry and parched.
With sorrow, he questioned and lamented the end of all things.
When he finished speaking, he dragged the skull over and, using it for a pillow, lay down to sleep.
In the night, the skull came to his dreams and said, 'You are a fool to rejoice in the entanglements of life.'
Chuang Tzu couldn`t believe this and asked, 'If I could return you to your life, you would want that, wouldn`t you?'
Stunned by Chuang Tzu`s foolishness, the skull replied, 'How do you know that it is bad to be dead?'

Weird movie, that's all i can say.

I liked it okay.  My favorite part is when they're in the elevator getting ready for the big battle at the end there's this one extra who is really hamming it up and trying to get the audience's attention.  It's pretty humorous.

The only time I can really accept fantasy martial arts is when it's a comedy.  Anywhere else I think it takes away from my suspension of disbelief too much.

Velvet Brotha

I have fond memories of that film. I still believe that it was one of Kurt Russels's finer performances. Man, I sure would dig an action figure of "Jack Burton." Better yet, an action figure of the notorious demon beast from that film.

Evil Matt

Everything's funnier with monkeys.

Alex

Definitely one of my favourites. And it's got Kim Catrall in it!
