Weird foreign psuedo vampires in the desert movie.

Aeons ago when I was just a snotling,. I saw a movie that I definitely recall some stuff  from and think I recall some stuff from.  One thing I know was there was this sorta vampire woman after a guy who had a girlfriend,  and he had a ring that reflected light in a cross pattern that protected him from her.

She has him knocked out and smashes his ring and has a creepy old servant,  maybe looked like john carradine,  take his girlfriend out to the desert to leave her to die.  I think the stop him with a flashlight in the face.  That's most of what I remmber.  I think it was Italian.

I saw it waaay back in 1971 on Double Creature Feature-I thought it was really weird too.
