i'm 5'1", lol! and that's because i have an inch of callous on my feet, i'm sure. this lady stood UNDER my chin,reminded me of my momma.
  i understand  the" tall,big" thing , curtis gets that alot too. i have to occasionally gently remind the ladies he works with that he has a pacemaker and he's not young anymore.

This is "Enrichment Week" at our school.   Each high school teacher comes up with a specialty class based on a hobby or interest that they have, and the students get to sign up for them on a first come, first served basis.  We have some really cool classes this year - one is called "Eagle Flight," in which the students learn basic avionics for a week and then actually get to go up in a plane, with a flight instructor, and take the controls briefly on the final day! Our art teacher brings in two professional painters to share their craft with aspiring young painters, another teacher is doing an advanced angling course - basically four days of fishing lessons!  Me, I am doing archeology/paleontology 101.  Today we did in-class training on what both sciences are and what they study, and I let them handle some artifacts and fossils from my own collection.  Then, for three days, I take them up to the river with me and we go searching together - an area prolific with both fossilized bones and Indian arrowheads.  The get to keep whatever they find - and probably most of what I find, too!  All in all, it's a very fun week and I think I enjoy it as much as the kids do.
