Funny how a lot of these things were produced around the same time.  It would be interesting to compare it with the social and political climate of that era, and other contemporary movies.  Death Wish was made in a time when NYC crime was absolutely at a peak, and it mirrored the thoughts of a lot of people, giving them a vicarious sense of (death) wish fulfillment.  Later movies of this type like Gran Torino and Harry Brown play to the same contemporary issues with gang violence, police ineffectiveness and the desire for vigilantism.

As for movies that you wouldn't watch with your girlfriend and have no redeeming qualities, it would be easy to compile a list based around themes of torture and abuse, and with zero plot or plots so flimsy that they serve only as a vague gauzy backdrop onto which the gore is splattered.

I can actually understand the extreme gore bulls**t that came out in later years. It was made to shock Fangoria geeks. It was made for that purpose. To shock with extreme gore and violence. ( I watched a few-didn't bother me. I knew it was all done to shock.)  But I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE was not. There was NO reason for this.

FAMILY PROPERTY: BACKWOODS HILLBILLY MASSACRE was so badly done it was just painful to watch.
But in terms of just being morally offensive, brutal, and irredeemably bad, I'd go with BULLY.

"IT'S ALIVE"  (1969 - a Larry Buchanan sh!t on rye).  Maybe the worst movie I've ever sat through; it's AWFUL.  And laughed!  But mostly BORING.  (Though better than torture porn.)

Since it's so horrible  its title cannot be spoken or written I will just say "the human(hundred legged arthopod)".

There is a sick joke of a movie called " gay ni--ers from outer space" who's only good quality is its merciful  brevity.

"Frankenstein's bloody nightmare." is only good for warning people about the hazards of taking cheaply made LSD.

"assignment terror" was made by a coalition of Spanish Italian German filmakers because no one nation should have had to bear the sole blame for such an abomination.  It was an ultra cheap sf horror torture porn flick that managed to insult the movie histories of Frankenstein, Dracula, the wolfman and the mummy in one film. Micheal Rennie's presence could almost be considered a redeeming quality if seeing him in such a puddle of cinematic sewage did not make his fans weep for him. I wonder if Germany, Italy and Spain hated england so savagely they made this movie just to put a well known and respected English actor in it.

Where The Dead Go To Die

A pretentious pseudo-art film. It just does everything it can to try and shock the viewer.
For reference: there's a scene where a possessed black lab with an annoying voice sticks its head in a woman's vagina and rips her unborn baby out violently, killing her and it.
Then, after the mother dies they try to bring her back to life by having the son, who is a little boy, f**k the dog in the ass on top of his mom's corpse.
You might be surprised to know that scene didn't even gross me out or disturb me. It's impossible to be disturbed when you're dying from boredom.
Yes, a film that has the worst abortion ever and a bestiality/necrophilia threesome trudges along at a snail's pace and is filled with random images of terrible 3D models and miserable attempts at symbolism.

Frankly, the film offended me. Not because of the "disturbing" content but because trying to gross me out is all they have in their bag of tricks. The film thinks very little of it's audience and is high on it's own fumes. I ended up shutting it off, not out of disgust, but because I was worried someone might come in and see me watching it. I don't think there's anyway to explain my way out of that. I'd rather be caught jerking off to furry vore. The guy that made it isn't even a director. He's a DJ that tried to get into 3D animation and f**king sucks at it. His attempts to try disgust me with gross images is just sad to watch, like a fish out of water slowly suffocating, flopping around on the boat to no avail. It tried to take dark themes but didn't know what the hell to do with them.

Pathetic.

The thing that I hated most about ISOYG was the Rick Moranis looking bad guy. the one who was clearly supposed to be retarded. he was so crap it hurt. I wouldn't say I completely hated the movie though, the main woman gave a decent performance IMO
