Hi, there!
The period is 80s-90s most probably.
The most of the time protagonists spend on a spaceship. This spaceship is looking as the body of Zax in "Benji, Zax & the Alien Prince" without the neck and the head. Only the hamburger-like body. There were solar panels going out straight up from the spaceship.
In a scene a crew member was ejected in the outer space and he died from burning or vacuum(inside the protection suit).
The main protagonist was a boy. There was an antagonist or maybe a cruel protagonist who was always having a walking stick with him. Maybe there was a hidden knife inside that walking stick. He was an adult man.
It could be teen/kid show, because the main protagonist was a boy.
I can't recall the mission of the spaceship, but it was not noble like in Star Trek. They might even have been pirates. Can't recall well.
Sadly I can't remember much more than this and a scene with the kid and the crew shooting with hand laser guns(single handed guns).

This is how I remember the spaceship(not an exact drawing). The solar panels are retractable, and could be 4 blocks. I can't recall exactly.

Hmmm...
First thought was THE STARLOST.
But it could be the obscure STARSHIP OSIRIS/OSIRIS CHRONICLES https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVe2G7hT8o8

I can't recall having seen any of those two. From time to time I browse images of spaceships from movies on internet. So far nothing.

Thanks!

Possibly Antonio Margheriti's Treasure Island in Outer Space (1987).

I was not logging for a long time. I see your answer just now.

The spaceship is exactly the same. It is the same movie(series).

Thank you very much! This thread is solved for me.
