The last jedi

I'm watching "the last Jedi" for the first time. This movie is SH-T! And NO! It is NOT because of "SJWs", "empowered females" or any other MRA bullXXXX. It's because it has sh-tty stupid ridiculously incompetent villains commanding fleets, ships running out of fuel that has never been mentioned before in 7 movies, Leia surviving in a ridiculous fashion when she should have died because Carrie fisher is dead, absolutely inane space battles and tactics that should have been used long ago if they were so effective.

THIS MOVIE WAS TRASH!

I like the first three movies. They're stupid fun, like playing with toys. BUT, gimme a break. Enough o' this shart. I don't know why people give a sh!t. It's like Harry Potter. Zip it.

I never liked it from day one. I knew even as a teenager- this was just cool special effects. By 1977- I expected more from my science fiction. f**k man, I saw PLANET OF THE APES and 2001 in '67 and '69. This s**t wasn't fooling me.
Plus I seen the ANDROMEDA STRAIN, the CRAZIES, and all sortsa good s**t on TV.
STAR WARS is about as interesting to me as BATTLESTAR GALACTICA- which I hated as well.

I liked SPACE:1999!

The first movie was just meant to be a good movie. But it became s legend, and they've tried to make every movie since then a grand epic legendary movie instead of just making a good movie.

Hell, Vader and kenobi fought in a corridor. Now whenever there's a ligtsaber fight it as to be in a grand epic setting. Seriously, compare the fight between Vader and Kenobi to the obe between luke and kylo....

After basically xxxxing on luke Skywalker for a long time, they gave him a good sendoff.

I liked it. It wasn't perfect by any means, but I thought it was fun.

I especially loved Luke's standoff at the end.

My entertainment threshold must be fairly low or something. I have enjoyed all of the new SW movies, even SOLO which didn't do well at the box office.
For the record, I went to see the first one in 1977 with my then-girlfriend at the movie theater. Since then we have seen every single STAR WARS film in the theater together, most of them on opening night.

Oh, and we got married too.
But not at the movie theater.

Really, tho, to go thru 7 movies in a 3 trilogy set without mentioning fuel once and in the 8th to make it the centerpiece of the movie was just the opposite of a deus ex machina. it was pulling a problem out of nowhere that had no previous mention.

AND ALSO, if the rebel fleet was losing shiups one by one but their captains were rmaining on them to the end, why not evac one then have it hyperjump into the big bad ship and save others?

Oh, to be fair, some people criticized the movie because they said luke's hand went with him when he faded out and should not have anymore than his clothes did. To be fair they did not show his hand go with him and it may have been left behind like his clothes so that was a bogus attack.
