Lady Sylvia Marsh from Lair of the White Worm.

Sometimes she looks like this.

It was a weird movie.

And sometimes she has a thing for underage, virginal boy scouts, as can be seen from the 1st pic,  who are seeking to thumb a ride in the rain to the local youth hostel, but instead wind up in her mansion of horror and her hot tub of death. Maybe I should get out my scout uniform and see if it still fits.

As I said, it was a weird movie.

You might prefer her earlier appearance.

The White Witch

That is, of course, Tilda Swinton. Who was originally offered the part of Lady Sylvia Marsh in Lair of the White Worm, but turned the part down. And we are all fortunate that she did. She would have brought ice to the role. Whereas, one needed someone like Amanda Donohoe, who could bring fire to the role.

On the other hand, Tilda was fine as the White Witch, a character with ice water in her veins, and who was in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.

The House of Mouse had an agreement to make 7 films from the 7 books in the Chronicles of Narnia series. They made . . .
the 1st. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
the 2nd. Prince Caspian.
And then they took a look at the future box office for the series and saw declining expectations. So, they used what ever escape clause was in the contract and got out of making any more films. Which is almost an unprecedented action in Hollywood.

The film rights for the other films was then picked up by another film company, who made . . .
the 3rd. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
And while the 4th has been in development since last year or 2017, they are also suppose to make The Silver Chair.

Still, that would only take us up to where the BBC in the TV miniseries took us. What I'd like to see is a film adaptation for the final 3 books in the series.
the 5th. The Horse and His Boy
the 6th. The Magician's Nephew
the 7th. The Final Battle

For, as far as I know, there has ne'er been a film adaptation of those 3.

And we will see what we will see.
