Listening to Metallica's debut album, KILL'EM ALL, which was released on this date in 1983.
I will never forget the first time I heard this record -- it was a total game changer for me. After this, suddenly a lot of the "metal" I'd been listening to (i.e. Quiet Riot, Def Leppard, etc.) didn't cut it anymore.

Geez, that was a quick 35 years!!

Scored a couple more CDs at a yard sale this weekend: Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger and Stranger Than Fiction by Bad Religion.

I already owned the Soundgarden, but the copy I had was a scratched, skipping clusterf*** so I needed a replacement.
I was not familiar with Bad Religion but people have been recommending that I check'em out for years... I've only listened to the first few tracks but so far, me likee. Better late than never!!
