Speaking of chuckie,  did he have a song done by the beach boys but not pains for it?

He was friends with at least one of the Beach Boys and their producer Terry Melcher (Doris Day's son). If memory serves Melcher was actually the target and not Sharon Tate and her friends, he'd recently moved out of the house where Sharon Tate was murdered, he and his girlfriend Candace Bergen had been persuaded to move by Doris Day about six months before it happened.
Melcher had decided not to produce Manson's music saying that he wasn't talented enough and some think that's what pushed him into the Helter Skelter movement.

Manson and the girls lived with Brian Wilson before they moved out into the desert at Spahn Ranch. They left Spahn and went to Barker Ranch.
I tried reading the link- but I ended up with some article about Dr.Who. (?)
Anyway- the best film I've ever seen on Manson doesn't have much Manson in it at all- and it's called MANSON (1973)
All the music was done by the Family. It was filmed at the Ranch. It's a documentary. There are no actors here.

The Manson murders have a special place in my nightmares. They happened when I was a little kid. But I remember them very well. Dad watched Walter Cronkite every night. So that means I did. I watched Vietnam, Watergate, and the Manson trial. Which scared the s**t out of me. Actually it all scared the s**t out of me. But that did the most.
"Charlie-we're in hell!"
"Yeah-ain't it groovy?"
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."
